This source is deposited in the State District Archive in Kutna Hora. It was created by Jan Humpolecky in 1486. There is no further information about the owner or its subsequent fate.



Among the remaining sources in Kutna Hora it is probably the most richly illuminated one. It is illuminated with floral and faunal motives. It only contains one figural painting of Dolorous Christ. Even the ornaments in the gradual echo the artistry of Valentin’s workshop, however, it is not a work of his own hands. [6].


In regard to the focus of the book the notation material comprises only a small fraction of the content – 11 sheets contain scores of music in two columns as a preface.
